Organization: City of Albany, GA Salary: Close Date: Job Description: Located in southwest Georgia, the City of Albany is considered the industry, business, retail, education, cultural activities, healthcare and media hub for a large, growing region. Almost 80,000 people call Albany home. The City is currently accepting applications for the position of Finance Director. The director will oversee, manage, administer and direct all aspects of the City’s financial operations. The City’s FY ‘07 general fund budget is $45.5 million and a total budget over $93 million. The Director is also responsible for Risk Management and Payroll functions. The Finance Department has 20 full-time positions. Position requires a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field and seven years of progressively responsible experience. A Masters degree and/or CPA is preferred.
