Job Description:

Reporting to the County Administrator, the Director manages a highly competent and respected staff of 14 members who serve as advisors to County Administration and as fiscal and management consultants to County agencies. In addition to developing and administering the County’s $4 billion annual budget, OMB staff perform a variety of high level and challenging functions including developing funding plans for capital improvement programs; analyzing proposed service enhancements and reductions; preparing high level analytical reports; conducting fee studies and developing fee recommendations; assessing fiscal impact of proposed County, State and Federal legislation; analyzing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and assisting County agencies in development and improvement of performance measures.

Requires: a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in public administration or related and eight (8) years management experience in a large local government budget and management office. Must know and understand large, complex local governmental operations, including current management and budgeting principles and techniques. Ability to analyze management, policy, operational, and fiscal issues and make sound recommendations for solutions. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships throughout county government and be able to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.

Current salary range is $111,803 - $178,437. Beginning salary negotiable DOQ’s. An attractive benefits package will be provided.
