Organization: Glynn County Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 Close Date: Open until filled Job Description: Glynn County, Georgia, located midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, offers a unique quality of life that combines coastal living with the amenities of a regional business center. The County is currently recruiting a GIS Manager to direct the work of 11 subordinate employees engaged in the development and maintenance of the County’s Geographical Information System. The Manager will work with customers to identify, plan and recommend uses for the system, allocate resources and staff as necessary to maximize effectiveness of system, and provide technical assistance as required. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree in GIS or related field and 5 years of GIS management experience. Experience in the technical environment of ESRI Enterprise GIS using ArcSDE/Oracle and custom applications with the use of ArcGIS software suite and a web site is also required. Experience with LIDAR systems would be preferred. The position is considered open until filled. The starting salary is negotiable, but expected to be between $60,000 and $65,000 plus benefits.
