Organization: City of Norwich, CT Salary: $100,000 to $125,000 Close Date: 8/24/2007 Job Description: City of Norwich, CT (37,000 Pop) City Manager Salary $100K-$125K DOQ Full Service City experiencing growth and a revitalized downtown located in eastern Connecticut. Reports to Council of 7 members including separately elected Mayor (4 year term), Council members (6) serve for 2 year terms elected at large. Responsible for administrative, professional, and managerial work involving the leadership and direction of all city functions per city charter. Handle budget ($103M includes $63M for education plus $79M for Public Utilities), labor relations, long range planning and implementation of policies. Require MPA and 5-10 years of responsible municipal experience or equivalent training & experience. Prefer proven municipal leader, excellent communicator and facilitator, strong budget and labor relations knowledge in union environment.
